Our Master’s words ring out through the centuries. “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink.” (Matthew25:35) His voice finds an echo in the cries of the hungry and the thirsty around us here at home and in countries throughout the world. The founders of the parish heard these words and made them the heart of their vision of what our family would be about. They enshrined them in our Parish Mission Statement. We are sharing “our skills and abilities across the world to nourish all human hungers….” they wrote.
So began the tradition of the ministries here at St. Maurice. There are many ministries and as new needs arise, the number of ministries increases. Four categories of ministries Learning Ministries, Worshiping Ministries, Serving Ministries, and Organizing Ministries have been identified.
Who are we? In many ways we are our ministries.
